    • GOLF COMMITTEE REVIEWS DATA FROM SURVEY

    The CIAC Golf Committee reviewed and acted upon the results of a survey at their January 27th meeting. The survey was conducted to gather information on a request from the SWC to move boys golf to the fall season. [more]

    CASC SPRING STATE STUDENT LEADERSHIP CONFERENCE

    The Connecticut Association of Schools and the Connection Association of Student Councils announce the Spring State Student Leadership Conference. Registration is now available online. The conference is scheduled for March 19-20, 2010 at Wesleyan University in Middletown with overnight hotel accommodations at the Inn at Middletown. In cooperation with the Wesleyan Upward Bound Program and Wesleyan University, this conference will feature speakers and programs that explore the themes of the 21st century skill: Communication.     The Connecticut State Medical Society's SportsMed Newsletter is an excellent resource for athletic directors and coaches. The current issue includes articles on prevention and treatment of groin injuries and an H1N1 update. Current and past issues of the newsletter can be found here.

    NEW LICENSING PROGRAM TO BENEFIT HIGH SCHOOLS

    In the spring of 2009, the National Federation of State High School Associations (NFHS) entered into an agreement with Licensing Resource Group, LLC (LRG) to establish a licensing program that protects the logos and marks of its 51 member state associations and their member schools. [more]
