NEW HAVEN - Daniel Hand quarterback Ryan Fador helped lead the Tigers to a 35-6 victory over Brookfield in the CIAC Class M championship game at Southern Connecticut State University Saturday night.

The Bobcats came up empty in their second consecutive trip to a title game. Conversely, Hand won its second straight championship.

Hand scored on its second play from scrimmage when Andrew Davis caught a 34-yard touchdown pass from quarterback Ryan Fodor. It was the first touchdown catch of the season for Davis, who also went 5-of-5 on extra-point attempts.

Fodor finished 14-of-19 passing for 194 yards and two touchdowns. The Tigers went up 14-0 late in the first quarter when Peter McMahon recovered a fumble in the end zone. The play had started out as an option, but Lenny Meldon's pitch to Scott Lutrus went behind the junior running back. Lutrus went to fall on the fumble, but the ball squirted out from under him and rolled into the end zone where McMahon pounced on it.
