Connecticut Common Core State Standards-Linking Curriculum, Instruction, and Assessment in Mathematics
Implementation of the CCSS for mathematics requires an understanding of the shifts, the content standards, and the practice standards. All of these have been incorporated into the Smarter Balanced Assessment in order to effectively assess students on the CCSS. This session will explain the structure of the Smarter Balanced Assessment for math, explore the relationship between claims, targets and standards, and connect these to curricula as well as classroom instruction.
