School Entered Directions Directions to Joel Barlow High School 100 Black Rock Turnpike Redding, CT 06896 (203) 938-2508 Via I-84 West: Take Exit 10, Newtown. At the end of the ramp, turn right toward the "Newtown Business District." Follow the signs for Route 25. Continue through the business district to the flagpole (less than one mile). Turn left at the flagpole and continue for approximately one half mile to the stop light at Route 302. Turn right onto Route 302 and continue for approximately 6.3 miles. (There will be a stop light at approximately 5.5 miles; continue through it.) The next light is the intersection of Route 302 and Route 58. Turn left onto Route 58 (also called Putnam Park Road). Continue for approximately 6.5 miles to Joel Barlow High School. The driveway is on your left around a bend in the road, just beyond the "Spinning Wheel" restaurant. Via I-95: South - Take Exit 22 (Fairfield) - North Benson Road. At the end of the ramp, turn right onto North Benson Road (Route 135). Travel north on Route 135 to Route 58. Turn left onto Route 58 (Black Rock Turnpike) and travel north approximately 11 miles to the school driveway. The school is on the right, just around the bend past a gasoline station that is on the left. North - Take Exit 22 (Fairfield) - Round Hill Road. At the end of the ramp, go straight to the light that is the junction with Route 135. Turn left onto Route 135 and travel north on Route 135 to Route 58. Turn left onto Route 58 (Black Rock Turnpike) and travel north approximately 11 miles to the school driveway. The school is on the right, just around the bend past a gasoline station that is on the left. Via Route 15 (Merritt Parkway): South - Take Exit 44 - Route 58 - Fairfield - Redding. At first light, take a left. At next light, take a right onto Route 58 toward Redding. Continue north for approximately 8.7 miles. Watch for Redding sign and then watch for a gasoline station on the left. The school will be just around the bend on the right. North - Take Exit 44 - Route 58 - Fairfield - Redding. At end of exit ramp turn right. At the light, turn left on Route 58 toward Redding. Continue north for approximately 8.7 miles. Make right onto North main Street and stay on road as North Main becomes Main. Turn left onto Liberty Street (0.1 mile). Turn left onto Delay Street. The Arena will be on your right. From I-84 East, take Exit 5 and proceed to stop sign. Merge onto Downs Street (0.2 mile). At the light, turn right onto Main Street (0.8 mile). Turn left onto Liberty Street (0.1 mile). Turn left onto Delay Street (no street sign). The Arena will be on your right. The parking garage entrance will be ahead of the Arena. Parking is available across the street at the town garage (paid) and in the commuter lot of the train station. Turn right onto Wasserman Way. Turn left onto CT-34 (Berkshire Road). Newtown High School is on the left. From I-95: Take the CT-25/CT-8 exit, number 27A, towards Trumbull/Waterbury. Merge onto Colonel Henry Mucci Hwy. Take CT-8 N towards CT-15 N/Shelton/Waterbury. Merge onto CT-8 N. Take the CT-34/Main St. exit, exit number 15, towards Derby. Turn left onto Main St./CT-34. Continue on CT-34 for 13 miles. Newtown High School is on the left. From Joel Barlow HS: Take Route 58 north to the junction of Routes 58 and 302. Turn right onto Route 302. Turn left onto Route 25. At the flagpole turn right onto Church Hill Road. You will pass over Route 84. Proceed down the hill. At the light turn right onto Route 34. Proceed for one mile. The high school is on your right. |
