School Entered Directions Directions to the NFA Campus at 305 Broadway, Norwich CT ( Football, Volleyball, Field Hockey, Basketball, Gymnastics, Wrestling, Lacrosse, Track, Fencing) (1) From points Southwest of Norwich (Bridgeport, New Haven, Madison, etc) Take I95 to I395 North to Exit 81 East Follow exit ramp (which is actually Route 2) to its end at the traffic lighted intersection of Routes 2, 32, and 169. Bear right towards the hospital (following combined routes 2 & 32). Continue straight thru the first traffic light (in front of the hospital). Bear left at the 2nd set of lights and campus is on your immediate left. Total distance from end of exit ramp to campus is less than 1 mile. (2) From points due West of Norwich (Waterbury, Hartford, etc) Take 84 East to Route 2 East. Follow Route 2 to its end at the traffic lighted intersection of Routes 2, 32, and 169. Same directions as (1) above from this point. (3) From points due North of Norwich (Putnam, Killingly, etc) Take I395 South to Exit 81 East. Balance of directions same as (1) above. (4) From points Northwest of Norwich (Storrs, Willimantic, etc,)Take Route 32 South to the intersection of Routes 32, 2, and 169. Directions from this point same as (1) above. (5) From points East or Southeast of Norwich (Westerly, Groton, etc.) You will be entering Norwich on either Route 2 or Route 12 which intersects with Route 2 shortly after entering Norwich. Follow Route 2 thru downtown Norwich and the campus is located on the right (on Route 2) about 1 mile from downtown Norwich. (6) From points due South of Norwich (New London) Follow Route 32 North to I395. Take Exit 81 East off I395. Directions from this point same as (1) above. Norwich Free Academy ( off campus sports ) Cross-Country – Mohegan Park Route 395, take exit 81E. At stoplight go straight. You will now be on Harland Rd. (route 169). At light take a right onto Ox Hill Rd (you will be entering the park). Follow Ox Hill Rd till you come to a rotarty. Go left until stop sign. Take a right onto Mohegan Park Rd. ( pond will be on your right). After the pond you will see a parking lot and concession stand on the right. That is starting point of race. You will need to go past parking lot and take a right to get into the lot. Golf - Pautipaug Country Club Take Route 32 North out of Norwich, heading towards Willimantic. Exactly 1 mile after passing Franklin Creamery (on your left) bear right at the fork in the road ( this is site of Victorian House.) Follow winding country road for 2.2 miles until you come to its end and a stop sign at Route 207. (Route 207 is not marked at this point). Turn left on Route 207 and travel .6 mile to the first right which is Pautipaug Hill Road. Follow Pautipaug Hill Road (this is a hill) to the top where the road forks. Bear left at the fork and Pautipaug Country Club will be on your left .6 mile down the road. Ice Hockey - Norwich Ice Rink From I – 395 North (New London. Take exit 80 East to Norwich Take a right at end of Exit (Route 82). Continue on Route 82 about one mile(4 lights). At intersection of Route 82 and New London Tpke take a right. Rink is ½ mile on the right. From Hartford Route 2 to Norwich Then at exit 28S merge onto 395 South Take exit 80 and take a left off the ramp onto route 82 Then at the intersection of route 82 and New London Tpke take a right (4th light). Rink is ½ mile on the right. From I – 395 South (Mass.) Take Exit 80. Take a left onto Route 82. At intersection of Route 82 and New London Turnpike take a right. Rink is ½ mile on the right. Baseball (Dickenman Field), Soccer (Fontaine Field), Softball, Tennis – all games are played at Recreation Dept. fields. Route 395, take exit 81E. At stop light go straight. You will now be on Harland Rd.( route 169). At light take a right onto Ox Hill Rd. Take first right onto Mahan Dr. Swimming – Norwich YMCA 357 Main Street From I-395 North (New London) Take Exit 80E Take right onto Route 82 Follow Route 82 all the way into Downtown Norwich As you pass the Marina (on your right) and are facing Dunkin Donuts, take a right at the light. Follow this road through 2 lights, at 3rd light (Court house is on your left) take a right onto Main St. YMCA is about ½ mile on right. (After Otis Library) From Hartford Take 84 East to Route 2 east, Follow Route 2 to its end at the traffic lighted intersection of Routes 2, 32, and 169. Bear right towards the hospital ( following combined routes 2 & 32). Continue straight thru the first traffic light (in front of the hospital). At second set of lights bear to the right heading into downtown Norwich. (Washington St.) At next intersection go straight (Dunkin Donuts on Left) Follow this road through 2 more lights, at 3rd light (Court house is on your left) take a right onto Main St. YMCA is about ½ mile on right.
