October 25, 2007
In attendance were: Meg Shea, Vaughn Ramseur, Liz Egan, Tori Savage and Earle Bidwell
1. Review of 2007 Workshop
a. The feedback on the longer sessions and the elimination of the gallery walk was favorable. It was decided to stay with the new schedule.
2. Arts in the Middle 2008
a. Date May 20, 2008
b. The Save the Date for the upcoming conference was mailed the end of October.
c. The committee divided up the list of potential presenters and will contact them in advance of the invitation to present that Janice will mail. Vaughn will contact Dian Cook, Joe Costardo and Paul Hoffman. Earle will contact Dave Holland, Kathleen Kelly and Schott Rhoades. Meg will contact John Sadler, Barbara Scavotto-Earley and Elena Steier. Jen will be asked to contact Jim DeCesare and Liz Spring.
3. Other Business
a. It was suggested that we put pictures on the website and send the link to principals and art teachers who might then share it with parents and students.
b. It was also suggested that we build in a “permission to photograph” statement into our registration materials that would allow us to post student artist pictures along with their artwork.
4. The dates for the next two meetings were changed due to conflicts. The committee will meet again on December 3, 2007 and January 7, 2008.
