CAS Middle Level Fine Arts Committee
Minutes
April 24, 2003

In attendance were: Vaughn Ramseur, Barbara Ripa, Meg Shea, Joyce St. Germaine and Earle Bidwell

1.0 Workshop Presenters Update: Mr. Ramseur, Mrs. Ripa. We have 12 presenters confirmed. Given the number of workshop participants, this number will be sufficient.
2.0 Discussion and “To Do” Items
2.1 Schedule for the day: as published in the brochure
2.2 Committee assignments: Meg will assist Janice. Other committee members will be outside to assist and to greet. All will assist in getting participants to the lunch area.
2.3 Additional assistance: 15 assistants will be needed. Two are coming from Ellington, two from New Britain and 12 from West Hartford.
2.4 Signage: UH does the interior signage. We will need to make signs for building to building
2.5 Room Assignments: we need to e-mail the list to Bob Calafiore ASAP
2.6 Presenter biographies: We still need bios from some of the new presenters
2.7 Packet information: Janice will prepare materials for the packets. It was suggested that the committee have name tags.
2.8 Meals: Vaughn will call the University and arrange for meals.
2.9 Materials: Artists were given three choices; order themselves and bill CAS,
send their orders to us for processing, order and be reimbursed
2.10 Breakfast for presenters: Barbara will arrange for coffee pot, coffee, cream
and sugar. Meg will pick up muffins and doughnuts; Earle will bring
cups, napkins, plates and stir sticks.
2.11 Earle will bring CAS banner
2.12 Earle will provide a box of floppy discs for electronic pictures
2.13 The committee will plan to arrive at 7:30
2.14 Joyce and Earle will bring first aid kits. We will plan to share cell phone
numbers to keep in contact.
2.15 Earle will deliver materials on Monday afternoon to the University




3.0 Next Scheduled Meeting: May 15, 2003. At this meeting the art teachers will assemble the boxes of materials that have been gathered and label and inventory materials given to each artist. The principals will assemble the packets for each participant
