Since this is the next project for the Principals Center critical issues committee, CAHSP assistance will be sought/offered.
2. CAHSP goals were reviewed and revised as follows: To expand opportunities for principals to network around issues of mutual concern, including support for the leaders of schools identified as needing improvement under NCLB. To further the cause of high school reform by using Breaking Ranks, the NEASC Standards for Accreditation, and the Reconceptualized Connecticut High School document as templates for examining existing policies and practices. To connect high school principals with policy-makers, ensuring a strong voice at the table when decisions affecting the conditions for teaching and learning are made. To better utilize the CAS Website and Bulletin as communication vehicles, informing schools and principals about things they need to know. To help member school principals improve how issues of diversity are addressed in their schools. Page 2
