March 4, 2004


In attendance were: Fred Baruzzi. Ann Cox, Diane Hartman-Chesley, Sue Dumas, Ann Richardson, Laurie Slade, Ralph White and Earle Bidwell

1. IMPACT Focus Topic “Curriculum and Instruction” The committee reviewed the draft for the position paper and made some changes. The changes are reflected in the document that is attached (for committee members only).


2. Exemplary Practice “School Climate” Work was begun on the “Exemplary School Climate Self Assessment Scoring Instrument. The work to date will be attached to the minutes so that committee members will have an opportunity to review it before the next meeting.




3. Assistant Executive Director’s Report: Mr. Bidwell reported on the NASSP Convention and that he is a candidate for East Region Trustee for the National Middle School Association.
