M.L. Professional Studies Committee
Minutes from meeting of 10/3/2002
In attendance were: John Lineen, Ann Richardson, Ralph White, David Russell, Fred Baruzzi, Ann Cox, Carole Alvaro, Sue Dumas, Laurie Slade, and Earle BidwellAnn Richardson and Earle Bidwell shared a brief history of the work of the committee including monographs, position papers, video, writing for and securing writers for “Impact”. While late, enough quality articles were forthcoming to publish the “Assessment and Student Learning” issue. The issue was published and distributed in the summer.
The next two issues(s) will be devoted to “Teaming”. The committee concluded that the “Middle Level Effective Teams Standards” and the concepts brainstormed at the May 2nd meeting would provide the draft for the position paper.
The committee reviewed the draft of “Middle Level Effective Teams Standards” prepared by Mr. Bidwell. Dr. Richardson will prepare draft two of this document as a result of the meeting.
The minutes and documents will be sent out prior to the November 14, 2002 Meeting.
