Minutes
November 10 , 2005
In attendance were Jennifer Chase, Vaughn Ramseur, Meg Shea and Earle Bidwell
1. Updates
a. Committee Membership: Two new members were added to the committee, one of whom was in attendance at the November meeting. Earle will call selected principals in the near future to ask them to recommend names for additional committee members.
b. Inventory Supplies: Meg Shea has completed culling the inventory of outdated and unusable supplies. A complete inventory will await registrations.
c. Date for Conference: Janice Grecco will confirm the date of May 23, 2005 with Dean Calafiore
2. Arts in the Middle 2006
a. Secure Artists: Plan of Action and Assignment of Responsibility: Earle Bidwell will contact Scott Rhoades and Rick Stromoski; Vaughn Ramseur will contact Kenya Washington and Kevin Sepe and Meg Shea will contact Paul Hoffman, Nina Goodale, Diann Cook, John Sadler and Chris O’Herron.
b. Publicity: Earle and Janice will send out a “Save the Date” as soon as the date is confirmed. Earle will also prepare an article for the March issue of the “Bulletin.”
c. Review of enrollment practices: It was decided to remove the restriction on the number of teams accepted from each school and stress that registration will be on a first-come, first, served basis. Furthermore, we will accept teams of up to five students and one teacher, an increase of two students.
