Attention high schools!! Does your school have students who have formed a garage band or student run band of any musical style?

Let¡¦s get ready to rock and roll! This may be the opportunity you have been looking for to be discovered and launch your musical career. The Connecticut Association of Schools is sponsoring the ultimate statewide battle of the bands - BandJam 2012.

The selected bands must be able to perform at either the BandJam East hosted by Norwich Free Academy on Friday, May 4, 2012 or Bandjam West hosted by Darien High School on Friday, May 11, 2012, both from 4-9 p.m.

The bands at each site will compete to receive a grand prize that includes:
1. An appearance at the International Festival of Arts and Ideas on the New Haven Green Elm Street Stage.
2. Gift Cards from Sam Ash Music Stores
