CAS ANNOUNCES THE NEW LEADERS ACADEMY
The Connecticut Principals' Center of the Connecticut Association of Schools is proud to announce a newly-formatted offering for beginning school leaders of CAS member schools.The New Leaders Academy, formerly known as the Mentor-Mentee Program, will bring together experienced administrators with their colleagues just beginning their administrative careers.
The Academy sessions will feature a topical presentation followed by a "working lunch" in which cohorts of new administrators will meet with an experienced facilitator to discuss problems of practice associated with the day's topic. Academy participants will learn from each other as well as from the cohort facilitator. The six sessions will be spread throughout the 2012-2013 school year and will be held from 8:00 a.m.-12:30 p.m. to allow administrators to return to their schools. New school leaders are encouraged to register for this free program, and superintendents hiring new building administrators are urged to provide this valuable professional development opportunity to their new hires as part of their district's orientation strategies.
CEU Credit will be offered. If you plan to request CEU Credit, you will be asked to provide your 10-digit Educator Identification Number (EIN) on the CEU Credit Form. The Connecticut State Department of Education will no longer accept a social security number.

Step 2: Login to the C.E.C.S. or Create an Account
Once you have located your 10-digit EIN, we recommend that you plug it into your cell phone and assign it the contact name “EIN”.
