The 6th Annual CIAC Sportsmanship Conference will be held on Thursday, November 15, 2012 at the Aqua Turf Club, in Plantsville, Connecticut. The program is designed to promote and reinforce the theme “Sportsmanship is Everyone’s Responsibility” and the enhancement of sportsmanship at all middle and high school athletic events.

CIAC sportsmanship standards and expectations will be reviewed to promote consistent application at all Connecticut interscholastic sporting events. The program will feature motivational speaker Harvey Alston.

The program will include concurrent breakout sessions for students and breakout sessions for school administrators, coaches, athletic directors and other. This session will focus on legal issues associated with athletic and non-athletic student activities and will be conducted by Julie Fay from the firm of Shipman & Goodwin.

Additionally, the 2011-2012 CIAC Michael’s Cup winners will be formally recognized during the lunch portion of the program.

Registrations will be limited to the first 600 guests. You may bring any size team you like - early registration is encouraged.
