What Every Assistant Principal Should Know About The New Evaluation Program

High quality educator evaluations and supports strengthen our practices that lead to improved student learning.

The assistant principal committee is pleased to offer a half-day workshop on November 19th that will provide an overview of the Connecticut Guidelines For Educator Evaluation at all levels.

This workshop is specifically designed to provide an overview of the guidelines, requirements, and standards based aspects of the newly developed educator evaluation program. These guidelines aim to ensure that districts have common and high expectations that educators are evaluated in a fair and consistent manner, and that employment decisions are based on fair, valid, reliable and useful indicators of an educator's work. CAS Assistant Directors, Ev Lyons and Mike Galluzzo, who are trained presenters currently working with the pilot districts will serve as presenters.

The program will run from 8:30 am to 11:30 am. Breakfast will be served.
