Salute Administrative Assistants During Administrative Assistants Week

Registration is open for the annual conference for secretaries and administrative assistant conference.

This is an ideal opportunity to acknowledge the great work that administrative assistants do in schools as part of the national administrative recognition week. Attorneys Tom Mooney and Gwen Zittoun headline an impressive conference agenda.

The 2013 Administrative Assistant's Conference will take place on Friday, April 26, 2013 at the Aqua Turf Club in Southington.

This one-day program is designed to support the daily work of school secretaries and administrative assistants and their important contributions to a school’s culture and positive teaching and learning environment. The program includes up-to-the-minute information and practical suggestions to help secretaries do their job even better.

Attendees will spend time addressing issues that relate to their daily work; in such areas as legal issues surrounding school security and safety, electronic communication devices, student records retention, special education, new definition of excused absences, state and federal laws and regulations, just to name a few.

The afternoon program, “PUMP UP”, will help administrative assistants use their knowledge and skill set to handle challenging situations with ease! Through interactive learning activities, pump up will help participants improve communication, build organizational skills and manage difficult people.

Every participant will receive a packet of conference materials, enjoy a gourmet lunch, and have many chances to win raffle prizes!
