Arts In The Middle Conference
The annual middle level arts conference for middle school students and art teachers is scheduled for Tuesday, May 20, 2008 at the Hartford Art School on the campus of the University of Hartford. In its seventh year, the conference features a full lineup of workshops ranging from primitive art of the indigenous people of Australia to contemporary art using computer Photoshop.
Students and teachers can choose from among twelve exciting offerings led by talented Connecticut artists. With a morning and afternoon session, young and young at heart artists will be able to complete projects in two different media. In addition to the two workshops already mentioned, there are offerings in photogram, acrylic and mixed media, plein air, polymer clay sculpture, water color, pen and ink, wire sculpture, cartooning, self portraits and sculpture.
