Presenter -Jo Ann Freiberg, CSDE Consultant... This session provides an overview of Restorative Practices. Embracing restorative practices is not a program but rather a way of thinking, being and operating. Which establish the conditions for developing and nurturing a culture based on high quality relationships among all school community members and positive community building. This is accomplished by focusing not on rules broken and punitive consequences but rather on the harms done and providing appropriate restorative consequences and the systems that are necessary to repair and support strong relationships. This interactive overview includes concrete and practical strategies for establishing the appropriate classroom and school-based routines as well as conducting circles and conferences in primary prevention as well as intervention contexts. - Please select your elementary, middle or high school. - DO NOT select your district. - DO NOT enter home addresses or phone numbers. - SCSU Interns will be registered by the SCSU EDL Intern Coordinator. There are no fees charged to participants from CAS member schools for Academy programs. ***A series fee of $100 will be assessed for administrators from non-member schools. Payment, payable to CAS, must be received in advance. REMINDER: Please register for each session you desire.
