Physical Education should be taught as a lifetime endeavor. Participants will work to modernize their physical education curriculum so that students will be prepared to live healthy and active lives. This workshop is for K-12 physical education teachers and administrators who want to expand the power of their physical education program. Attendees will work on a curriculum framework for their own programs. There will be demonstrations of learning activities and assessments specifically designed for student centered, active learning. We will present methods that promote intrinsic motivation toward a lifetime of activity.
