GENERAL INSTRUCTIONS
1. NUMBERS -- Each athlete has an individual number
with his/her name on it. Please be sure each athlete is wearing
THE NUMBER WITH THEIR NAME ON IT. PIN THE NUMBER ON THE RIGHT HIP.
Center the number on the seam of the pants. Secure it with four
pins. Do not pin below the perforated line. Use the pin holes in
the number.
2. STARTING POSITION -- Your starting position
on the line is printed on the label on the front of your packet.
REPORT TO THE STARTING LINE 10 MINUTES BEFORE YOUR RACE. Number
placement will be checked at this time. If it is not correct, your
athlete will be asked to change it. To avoid this unnecessary task,
please supervise when the numbers are put on.
3. JEWELRY -- No jewelry may be worn during the
competition. Watches may be worn, but are discouraged because they
interfere with finish line operation.
4. RESULTS -- Turn in your team score sheet to
the scorers in the parking lot near the finish line. Please be aware
that your official score may be lower as individuals are deleted.
OFFICIAL RESULTS WILL BE AVAILABLE APPROXIMATELY 45 MINUTES AFTER
EACH RACE AT THE VAN IN THE PARKING LOT NEAR THE FINISH LINE. One
copy of your race will be prepared for you. To receive your copy,
bring the index card in your packet. Copies of all races will be
posted.
5. AWARDS -- Awards to the top two teams and top
12 finishers will be given out at the tent near the finish line.
They will be announced as soon as possible.
6. FIRST AID -- First Aid Station will be located
at the end of the chute area.
7. SUBSTITUTIONS -- If you wish to substitute a
runner, complete the form in your packet and bring it to the timing
truck at the finish line.
