We are looking to publish an anthology of short, stand-alone stories called "Lessons from the Sidelines" which will chronicle the experiences of Connecticut coaches (current and former) and the ways in which those experiences influenced their practices as leaders. # MORE

Help CAS Launch Middle School Debate

middle_school_debate_2_cropped.jpgMiddle schoolers love to debate — they enjoy thinking about weighty issues and they like to argue back and forth with their peers. Sixth, seventh and eighth graders aren't too young to master the speaking, listening and analyzing skills of debate. That's why the CAS Division of Student Activities is working to launch a Middle School Debate League with tournaments to begin during the 2014-15 school year. If interested in helping us launch this activity, join us at the initial planning session on July 23rd at 10:00 a.m. at the CAS office. A light lunch will be served and mileage will be reimbursed. Kindly RSVP to Dave Maloney, dmaloney@casciac.org.
