Closed-Teacher Evaluation Series: Tom Mooney-Diane Ullman-Kim Marshall

The Connecticut Principals’ Center of The Connecticut Association of Schools is again offering a series of workshops focusing on teacher evaluation.

Tom Mooney (Shipman & Goodwin, LLP and the Neag School of Education, UCONN), Diane Ullman (Superintendent, Simsbury Public Schools and Adjunct Professor, UCONN), and Kim Marshall (Writer, Professional Development Consultant) are the presenters.

Tom Mooney's workshops (3/7 and 3/14) will focus on understanding the "do's and don'ts" of writing teacher evaluations from a legal perspective; Diane Ullman's workshop (3/21) will focus on supervision and evaluation: a tool for ensuring a guaranteed and viable curriculum; and Kim Marshall's workshops (4/4 and 4/12) will focus on rethinking teacher supervision and evaluation.

The sessions are designed to provide administrators with an opportunity to fulfill the requirements of the amendment to the Connecticut General Statutes which mandates the completion of 15 of the required 90 hours of continuing education in the area of teacher evaluation.

The cost per workshop is $40 each/$200 for the full series. Refunds will not be available for non-attendance or for cancellations made less than two (2) weeks before each workshop.
